Challenge
The business goal was to increase customer satisfaction and expand the customer base and portfolio by offering more advanced and modern online banking features and support.
The strategy was to bring the customer base from a legacy infrastructure and leverage the Bank's sophisticated and world-class technology architecture and resources. It was a multi-year program delivered in a multi-phased implementation of the online banking platform. It required a sophisticated database conversion and migration from a third-party provider to multiple data landing target systems within the bank's internal, highly sophisticated and complex technology ecosystem.
Approach
Designed multiple ETL processes with a consistent framework for data accuracy checks and validation, performance tuning and reporting metrics to forecast customer data artifacts conversion success rate. Maintained tight handshake and continuous collaboration with multiple technology groups, the third-party legacy system provider and the Tier 1 Bank's technology groups supporting the target infrastructure. Maintained continuous collaboration with the Program body to maintain timing, scope and cadence with the rest of the program initiatives.
Outcome & Impact
- 99.99% Customer conversion achieved, above the business target requirement of 95%.
- The Conversion/Migration phase deployments smoothly sailed as per schedule.
